companies. The modernization of the electrical and diesel electrical locomotives by Romanian repair service companies,
corresponding to the new European requirements for railway transportation, made the current GFR locomotive fleet to be one of
the most modern fleets in South Eastern Europe, locomotives that use the GPS tracking system that allows us to keep track of
transports in real time. In order to meet the European Union requirements regarding the interoperability of the railway
transportation which imposes the endowment with quality rolling stock material, the company is about to purchase a big number
of modern locomotives, that will cover the necessary for this activity, and also wagons to transport different merchandises. The

The Buituri Hunedoara slag mining process aims to harness siderurgical waste by separating the steal industry slag from
the mineral aggregates which are used in road construction under lucrative conditions. The following targets are reached: the
rehabilitation of the industrial center Buituri Hunedoara dump, environmental and production potential rehabilitation, restoring the
agricultural production potential to the field presently occupied by the Buituri Hunedoara slag dump.
Aggregate material types obtained as a result of the complex processing in Buituri Hunedoara slag dump are, as follows:
- 0-8 mm, 8-16 mm, 16-25 mm, 25-40 mm, 40-63 mm, 63-80 mm to serve road construction, maintenance and repair works;
- 0-3 mm, 3-7 mm, 7-16 mm, 16-31 mm to serve mineral adhesive concrete and mortar preparation.
To ensure an efficient slag dump operating process, Grampet has a high tech equipment line from United States, specialized in
surface mining operations, unique in Romania. The present Grampet operating capacity of the slag dump reaches approximately
1.200.000 tones/ year. Siderurgical slag aggregates obtained in the crushing - sorting installation located at the Buituri Hunedoara
slag dump are certified by legal stipulations.
