At RBS Romania we know and we believe in the value of the experience we gathered in 15 years, in the high quality solutions we offer and in our unique team of specialists.

Over the 15 years following the establishment of the bank’s operations in Romania, our team has built an impressive history of developing strong business relationships with corporate and retail clients.

We work mostly with multinational corporations, international companies doing cross-border business with Romania, and local companies especially those with export and growth potential. It was the bank’s aim to build such relationships as it grew with the Romanian business market. Our Corporate Banking product range consists of transaction banking, treasury and crediting services.

Starting with September 2004, we have been offering products and services for our retail clients. Our expanding product range currently includes current accounts, debit and credit cards, overdraft facilities, mortgage and home equity loans, personal loans, saving plans. Since its establishment in Romania, the bank has built a reputation as a reliable, solid and professional partner, leader in product innovation and service quality.

We believe in what we we do and we will not stop here.

Offering free and impartial guidance and financial information in the RBS Romania branches

In 2010 RBS Romania launched MoneySense – a financial education programme addressed to the wider public. MoneySense is the financial education programme of the RBS Group, which has been carried out for 15 years, being one of the most important initiatives of this kind in UK and Ireland. The programme’s objective is to offer access to information and financial education to as many people as possible, both young people, as well as existing and potential clients.

MoneySense offers guidance and financial information on personal finances and financial services to any interested person. With the help of this programme, everyone can better manage their personal budget, in order to have the right financial balance and be better prepared for the future.

This service is made available free of charge and impartially in all RBS branches. The programme is offered through the MoneySense representatives, RBS employees specially trained to provide assistance through this programme.

MoneySense also provides financial information on the project’s website www.rbsmoneysense.ro. Therefore, all those who are interested can freely access the MoneySense brochure, a small financial guide on how to manage personal finances.

Financial education for young people in Romania

Through the partnership with CREDE Foundation and AIESEC Romania, RBS Romania addresses young high school and university students, offering them support in managing their personal budget and gaining a better understanding of various banking services and products. Thus, MoneySense covers basic knowledge regarding banks, banking products, personal finance management and developing a business.

Financial education classes have been held by teachers, assisted by the bank’s employees and AIESEC international volunteers, who offered teenagers in high schools an international perspective on the economic subjects discussed. In the 2010-2011 school year over 5,100 students benefited of financial education lessons through MoneySense. The programme component addressed at young people took place in 101 high schools located in 10 cities: Bucharest, Cluj-Napoca, Craiova, Iasi, Oradea, Ploiesti, Piteşti, Sibiu, Tg. Mures and Timişoara.

Antal global snapshot: Who´s hiring? | Who´s firing?

The 'Antal Global Snapshot' is a regular survey of hiring (and firing) trends in some of the world's most important employment markets and in those likely to join this group over the coming decade. Overall hiring is down since our last survey in December, but the good news however, is that it is only down by 1%. And it seems that this level of activity will remain more or less constant over the coming quarter.
